Asking for help is incredibly difficult to do. You know us from the Jovita Idar Pantry & Fridge and San Antonio Pantry Network. We have been community members and activists for almost a decade, marching, feeding folks, opening pantries across the city. I am attempting to make a career change into the ultimate helping profession of nursing, and nursing school is financially putting us in a bind. I'm trying to not have to take so many loans out, so here I am! We are in need of funds for tuition and just living expenses, since I will be having to work part time during school and a giant chunk of our income has evaporated with that. Even if you can't donate, please share! These funds will go towards a new nurse in the community, y'all! I am currently a nursing student at Western Governor's University, enrolled in an accelerated Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing program.
