Help Kronk Heal: From Neglect to a Second Chance

Meet Kronk — a dog who has already been through more than any dog ever should.

Kronk was surrendered after his owner became seriously ill and could no longer care for him. He arrived at our house as our new foster through Mona’s House Rescue. We expected a dog who was confused and scared. What we didn’t expect was to discover just how much he had been neglected and abused.

His previous veterinarian has confirmed that Kronk suffered abuse, and his condition tells the rest of the story.

Kronk’s Current Condition

Kronk is dealing with:

    •    A severe double ear infection

    •    Painful sores on his elbows and chest, and muscle loss in his back legs

    •    Significant hair loss and poor overall coat condition

    •    Signs of long-term neglect and poor care

On top of the physical pain, Kronk was never properly socialized and now shows fear-based aggression. This isn’t who he is—it’s a survival response from a dog who has learned that the world is not safe.

What Kronk Needs

Kronk deserves a chance at a normal, happy life. To get there, he will need:

    •    Veterinary care for his ears, skin, and overall health

    •    Ongoing medical treatment and follow-up visits

    •    Professional training and behavioral support to help him feel safe and learn to trust again
