Help Kristy Through Her Cancer Journey

My name is Kelly and I have created this Go Fund Me to help my sister Kristy as she begins her journey fighting breast cancer. Kristy was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Ductal Carcinoma in-Situ in January. She will be having a mastectomy on February 14th. Depending on how aggressive the tumor is she may need chemotherapy or radiation. Kristy will be out of work a minimum of 6 weeks with the surgery and may require more time off depending on further treatment. I am hoping that this go fund me can help her and her family with upcoming medical expenses, groceries, etc. as she is off work during this time.

Many of you know Kristy from Salon Lush. Since her diagnosis and weeks leading up to surgery, she thought about each and every one of her clients instead of worrying about her journey ahead. She wanted to make sure each client was taken care of before she would be out of work. I’m hoping that we can take care of her in the same way that she takes care of her clients. I know she would never ask for help, but I want her to focus on staying positive and getting better rather than worrying about how she is going to pay the incoming bills. Being self-employed means she does not have vacation or sick days to take advantage of. Any help we can provide her with will take a lot of stress off of her and her husband Aaron in the next few months.
