Hi, my name is Sara Beth, and I'm raising money to help my very good friend, Kristy Cato, get safe housing. Kristy lived with her mom as her caretaker, and when her mom passed away in April of 2021, her apartment started trying to evict her. After doing everything possible to keep her home, Kristy was unrightfully kicked out of her apartment on July 24th, 2022. With the housing shortage in San Diego, no affordable apartments are available. Kristy is currently living in her car and saving money in case an apartment opens. She works as a nighttime manager and gets off work too late to enter a shelter. She has tried reaching out to housing resources and the San Diego LGBT Center with no luck.

Kristy is a Black lesbian author who has contributed so much love and creativity to the world.
