Help Kristy and Steven after losing Dean

My name is Nikki Rosales and I run a dog rescue called Our Underdog Rescue Squad. My team is small but mighty and two of my team members, who give their all every single day, have suffered a tragedy.

Kristy and Steven have the biggest hearts. They have saved hundreds of dogs on their own. They are the kind of people who don't look away and think someone else will handle it - they spring into action and handle it themselves. Kristy is like a sister to me and I would trust her with my life.

One of their own pack, who was the absolute best pup ever, has left us way too soon. Their beautiful 9 year old English Springer Spaniel Dean passed away due to an inoperable cancerous tumor. Dean was the heartbeat of their household and his passing has left an immeasurable hole in their entire world.

Unfortunately, it took a couple of weeks to identify what was going on and many expenses were incurred along the way. Dean was finally rushed to emergency with the thought that it was a blockage. When they went in to do exploratory surgery, the instead discovered that it was a plum sized tumor where his stomach connected to his intestines. Awakening him would be too painful so they had to say goodbye while he was sedated.

This result is absolutely gutting to them. Our team stands behind them and love them like family - they are family and so was Dean. Nothing can replace their beloved pup but we can help offset some of the costs. The total bills were over $10,000.
