Please help Kristi & her family during this difficult time.

Christopher Blasky, a proud Army veteran, dedicated police officer, loving husband of 26 years, and devoted father to their 3 beautiful children unexpectedly passed away after suffering a heart attack in his home surronded by family. His eldest daughter performed life saving measures heroically, in attempt to save her father’s life. Christopher was a hardworking man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He loved his family more than anything in the world, everything he did was to bring happiness to their children. He loved his two dogs as if they were his own children and even arranged doggie play dates. He lit up a room with his jokes, smile, and witty sarcasm. He loved visiting their youngest daughter at college, he looked forward to the many country music concerts he and his wife attended, and was a huge into the Sox and an enormous Iowa girls basketball fan. He enjoyed traveling to see The Grateful Dead with his lifelong childhood friends. His cherished walks he would take with their son and dogs in the woods will forever be a lifelong memory for their son.

The family is understandably shocked by this loss and not prepared for all that is happening at this time. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but coping with a sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. It doesn’t follow a pattern and there’s often a lack of closure. There are also added financial stressors, such as the cost of planning a funeral or the loss of a spouse’s income to pay for household expenses.
