Father of 3-Year-Old Fighting Spinal Cancer: Help K Aleksandr Save His Home and Family
Hi everyone,
I am writing this from a hospital bed at St. Joseph’s in Tampa, facing a reality I never could have imagined. Until a few weeks ago, I was the sole provider for my family—my wife and our 3-year-old son. Today, I am fighting a rare blood cancer that has attacked my spine.
I have been diagnosed with a Solitary Plasmacytoma in my L4 vertebra. The tumor has not only caused a pathologic fracture in my spine but is pressing against the nerves that control my legs. The pain has been unbearable, and I have lost the ability to walk normally or even play with my son.
The Crisis at Home: My wife has been a devoted stay-at-home mom, caring for our toddler while I worked to provide for us. Because of this sudden diagnosis, our family’s income has completely vanished. My wife is now bravely and urgently searching for any job she can find, but as many of you know, finding employment overnight while caring for a 3-year-old is a nearly impossible task.
The Medical Battle: I am starting a rigorous course of 25 radiation treatments. My doctors are hopeful that this will kill the cancer and allow my bone to heal, but the recovery will take months. During this time, I am under strict orders not to lift anything—I can’t even pick up my son to hug him.
Why Your Support is Urgent: We are now facing an immediate financial crisis. Without my income, we are at direct risk of losing our apartment and being unable to pay for basic necessities like food and utilities for our child.
Your donations will go directly toward:
Rent and Utilities: Keeping a roof over my 3-year-old son’s head while I undergo daily radiation.
Groceries and Essentials: Ensuring my family has what they need while my wife searches for work.
Transportation: Covering the costs of getting to my 25 daily medical appointments.
I want nothing more than to recover, get back to work, and be the father my son deserves. Any amount you can give—even $5 or $10—will help keep my family stable during this storm. If you cannot donate, please share our story.
Thank you for your compassion, your prayers, and for standing with my family.
With hope and gratitude, Aleksandr & Family
