Greetings, my name is Kristina Vega. I'm a 51-year-old transgender woman who is trying to evolve. I've many times applied for jobs, and finally, I have gotten one! To work at the NYC Board of Elections as a Poll Worker. But a bump in the road came along this past Monday. In the Melrose section in the Bronx, a major fire caused by an e-bike broke out on the 5th floor right above my apartment. Major water damage to my apartment. My furniture, electronics, and all my clothes and shoes are ruined. I have to relocate and start over. But I need your help. I have a case manager who will assist me with the relocation process. But I need to rebuild again what I lost. My television, laptop for school and work, and most importantly, my gender-affirming clothing and wigs. My gender-affirming clothing and wigs are a major part of my identity. I will also need pocket money to travel to and from work. I've battled depression, I've battled breast cancer and survived, I had a minor stroke and had to relearn how to walk and talk again. I'm a survivor. I've always done it alone. But now I truly need help. Please assist me with my evolution from the ballroom community into the working career community. Thank you. I love you. You are loved.
