Hello, my name is Jamie, and I'm Kristina's older sister. Please Help us relieve Krissy of her hospital bills, medication copayments, insurance premiums and other expenses that may come up.

January 2025- There is more tumor growth and both drugs will stop.
Her medical team will try a different inhibitor later this month. Krissy's speech has started to slur and her mobility/ balance is being affected. She is starting to use a walker to walk and require some more assistance with daily routines.

November 2024- There is a small amount of growth in the cerebellum Kristina stopped the Tremador chemo due to it running its course and no longer providing a benefit. She is taking a inhibitor called Vismodegib. The brainstem tumor is stable.

July 2024- MRI results show more growth and more tumors. Kris was told she is no longer in the ONC clinical trial. She met with her oncologist and a surgeon from MSK and a surgery will take place on Monday, July 22.

June 2024- Kris started the trial in Summit, New Jersey last month. She is taking 5 ONC pills once a week and following up with the trial team every four weeks. Her MRI is showing new tumors. She will have another MRI next month to determine next step.

May 2024- The Trial starts this month. Last week she visited Summit, New Jersey to meet with the clinical trial team for ONC 201. She is back today for bloodwork and to get information on the medication. She should be able to start the medication this week. Keep those prayers and good vibes coming.

Krissy's most recent MRI of the brain showed possible progression in the Cerebellum. It could also be Necrosis from radiation, but it is being treated like a regrowth. She will follow up with other Nero Oncologists and surgeons for their opinion. I will update with more information after she visits with them next week.

March 2024- Krissy received a call and she was accepted into a clinical trial. She chose to wait until May because she just finished Chemo and wanted some time off medication. The trial will have a lot of out-of-pocket costs that we will need assistance with. More information on this soon.

Update Jan 2024- Krissy has her next scans the first week of Feb. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has not worked or driven since April 2023.

Update 12/21/23. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!! Kris received her December 2023 results earlier this month and both the Brain and spine MRI scans were stable! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Update 10/27/23: Krissy had a spine and brain MRI earlier this month and both scans are stable. Her next scans will be in December. It is one year since she was hospitalized at Stonybrook Hospital and her year since diagnosis date is approaching. Krissy will continue with her Chemo pill for another 5 cycles/5 months. She may qualify for the Car-T cell trial in California and is getting other doctors' opinions on the trial as well. We appreciate your support, prayers and good vibes.

Update 4/10/23. Krissy had her last MRI in March and the Tumor is her spine showed a bit of shrinkage. The Tumor in her brain is still fully removed and is stable. Krissy is on her third round of the chemo pill and the dosage has doubled since starting in January. It is making her super sleepy and she does not have much of an appetite and everything tastes much different in a terrible way because of the Chemo. She gets blood work once a week. Krissy returned back to work 4 days a week at the middle of March and has done some Physical Therapy. She has driven her car a few times as well. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Her next MRI scans are the last week of April and First week of May. One for the brain and one for the spine.

Kristina was admitted to Stonybrook brook hospital for four weeks from October through November 2022. She received many scans, tests, and three brain surgeries. During her first surgery, she was given a temporary shunt to help with the hydrocephalus/build-up of fluid in her brain. Her second surgery was a biopsy and removal of a tumor on the cerebellum, and the third created a permanent shunt. Krissy was discharged for Thanksgiving when she could spend quality time with her family before hearing her biopsy results.

The following week the family met with the oncology unit at Stony Brook Hospital, where we were told that the pathology results had shown that she had a Stage 4 brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma ( Mutation H3K27M).

Krissy is our warrior; she's strong as hell and ready to fight. In the next six weeks, she will have daily radiation treatments, follow-ups with her surgeons and oncology teams, lots of lab work, MRI scans and Chemotherapy. Anything you can give is much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generous donations, and we thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Let's Kick Cancer's A$$!!!
