Hi, my name is Brittney and I am trying to raise money for my Mother, Kristina Bacos. She has been battling a hereditary liver disease for years. Two years ago she was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy. Hepatic encephalopathy is a nervous system disorder brought on by severe liver disease, due to the liver not work properly toxins build up in the blood. These toxins have traveled and settled in her brain, causing brain function and memory loss. Due to this, she has been out of work since January 2020. She is unable to get on disability at this time due to this not being a long term condition if she receives a liver transplant. The head of the transplant team from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida has approved her for a transplant! She is scheduled to begin a two week series of testing and evaluations on August 30th to be sure her body is capable of handling a transplant. We are asking for help to cover hotel, copays, meals and gas expenses. Any help is appreciated!
