I'm Kristin, a disabled artist who has been living off of commissions and delivery driving for the past six months.
Last week my car broke down, and without a battery I haven't been able to work. Bills are piling up; my phone bill is hitting me with extra fees because I've been short on money every month lately, and now even if I could start working immediately I wouldn't be able to make enough money to cover base expenses. I don't want to ask for help, but I'm desperate and, quite honestly, scared of failing to get the funds together. My apartment complex doesn't allow payments to be even a day late and will charge $150 in late fees if they don't just decide to evict you.
This goal is just to cover rent, my phone bill (so I can continue to do delivery driving, my only source of income), my car insurance (again, so I can continue to do delivery driving), and my battery so I can get my car running again. It won't cover food or other necessities. I just need whatever help I can get to get through this month. Half of my phone bill is due next week, but everything is due by the 1st.
I'm still trying to take commissions and do whatever work I can, but the fact is work is just not coming, and job applications haven't led to a call back. I'm doing my best, but I can't get anywhere alone.
Thank you for reading even if you can't help.
