I am Kristin Brake Campbell. I am from Fort Smith, AR, and I am 30 years old with a husband of 10 years and 2 children, a boy 11 and a girl 9. I am currently on dialysis from ESRD caused by lupus. I also have heart failure and liver disease, also caused by lupus. I was diagnosed with lupus at age 21. I’m currently at the end of the road almost. I am told there’s pretty much nothing else the doctors can do for me. It’s getting real… I’m having major complications. I’m in my head real bad about dying and leaving my family behind. I’m told there’s nothing doctors can really do except continuously do dialysis. I may not get to be on the transplant list because of my heart failure and liver disease and how active my lupus is, unfortunately.

I also have a blood clot in my neck 100% blocking blood flow, which is the cause of my swollen arm and breast. Doctors say there’s nothing they can do, and I basically have to just deal with this, which could last months to years. There’s a surgery, but it’s risky. It can cause cardiac arrest, collapsed lungs, or death…

That is so disheartening and disappointing. I am at the point where I sometimes want to give up, but I know that I can’t. I HAVE to keep fighting. Not just for me but for my family.

I’m going to get a second opinion. The issue is finances, so I am creating a GoFundMe to help with travel and hotel stay costs. It seems I may have to go as far as Arizona or California. I’m not letting these doctors here determine how many years I have left or if it’s even years at all. If I stay here, I AM going to DIE.

My sister stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, researching with me different specialists in the US because, like I said, I’M NOT GIVING UP. I’ve seen lupus itself even be reversed in people. I know by the Blood of the Lamb it can be done! I just have to keep my faith. My kidneys and heart are failing, but Yahweh NEVER fails! Hallelujah
