Hi everyone, it's Kristin. On 2/23, I was in a serious car accident with a Ram 1500 that totaled my car — with no payout from State Farm — and left me with a severe fracture in my dominant right wrist. On 3/3/26, I underwent surgery for an internal distal radius fracture. The healing process is slow and painful with a minimum of 3 months recovery time. As a full‑time pastry chef, my job depends entirely on the use of my hands and wrists. Right now, I physically cannot work, and I have no income coming in. Healing wise, I'm only able to lift 1lb, making daily tasks difficult. With a 3‑month therapy plan in motion, I’m hoping to regain full function of my wrist.
I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat by asking for assistance, but without a car, without the ability to work, and with medical and living expenses piling up, I’m struggling. I have no FMLA, short-term disability, or unemployment to rely on.
I’m humbly asking for help to cover basic living expenses, outstanding medical bills, and funds toward a replacement vehicle while I recover. Any amount — truly even a small one — would make a huge difference while I focus on recovery and work toward getting back on my feet.
Thank you for reading this and supporting me during such a tough and uncertain time in my life.
