Help Kristin's Recovery: Chronic Lyme Disease and Toxic Mold
Donation protected
We are reaching out for support for Kristin and her family as she continues to face a severe health and life crisis caused by chronic Lyme disease, toxic mold exposure, and environmental illness, a complex and overlapping storm that has left her physically depleted, financially strained, and in urgent need of continued care.
Kristin has been living with Lyme disease for many years and has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket on doctors, testing, treatments, and supplements. Over the years, she has approached her healing journey with extraordinary diligence researching cutting-edge protocols, advocating for herself in complex medical systems, and investing in integrative treatments from top practitioners worldwide. Her commitment to health and wellness allowed her to experience periods of greater stability, during which she built a respected career and funded her own care.
That same dedication has also shaped her into a knowledgeable wellness professional who now helps others on their own healing paths. While she still has some savings, the demands of her current medical needs, combined with the complete loss of her retirement and the doctors’ strong recommendation to rest have made the financial burden unsustainable without community support.
While she maintains health insurance, Lyme disease and related environmental conditions are not covered, leaving her to shoulder the financial burden of her care entirely on her own.
In the past year, her symptoms worsened significantly and she spent the majority of the fall of 2024 in bed and worked very minimally. It was later discovered that there was toxic mold in her new home, which had been silently intensifying her illness and reactivating dormant infections. Top medical experts confirm that mold toxicity and Lyme disease are often intertwined, each exacerbating the other, especially neurologically and immunologically. As a result, Kristin was forced to leave her home and sell most of her belongings, many of which were contaminated and unsafe to keep.
In addition to this major health and housing upheaval, Kristin also flew across the country to help move her mother into assisted living, and during that same time, her stepfather suffered a serious fall and was hospitalized, where he has remained for over eight weeks. While others have supported as able, Kristin has been managing the majority of the care, logistics, and emotional labor, all while facing serious health challenges of her own.
In May 2025, Kristin traveled to a respected clinic in Switzerland, investing $18,000 of her own funds in an intensive healing program. The clinic provided acute care and some meaningful relief, but doctors were clear: for her to truly heal, she would need to continue rigorous protocols, receive ongoing care, and reduce all external stressors, including environmental and emotional.
Despite their firm recommendation that she rest this summer and prioritize recovery, Kristin is now back in Arizona caring for her parents, managing hospital visits, logistics, and daily decision-making, all while her body is still in an extremely fragile state. She is doing her best to stabilize her health while navigating intense stress and financial strain.
Why We’re Asking for Support
Kristin is a gifted, devoted, and generous woman who has spent her life supporting others through intuitive guidance, holistic design, and compassionate caregiving. She has continued to give, even through personal suffering. Now, she urgently needs support to rebuild her health and stabilize her life.
We are seeking to raise $30,000 to help cover:
Medical treatments and diagnostics not covered by insurance
Ongoing detox, immune, and recovery support
Travel and temporary housing needed to access safe healing environments
Emergency costs after leaving a mold-contaminated home
Lost income due to ongoing caretaking responsibilities, which have made consistent work in her profession impossible
Relocation support after being forced to leave Austin due to mold exposure and an environment too taxing on her health
Relief from financial pressure of making urgent decisions so she can focus on healing while actively caretaking both parents
Any amount helps. Every donation is a true act of grace. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this with others who might be moved to support.
With heartfelt gratitude
