Two Cancers, a Lifetime Mutation — And Now I Need Help
Hi, I’m Kristin. For a long time, I believed I had survived the hardest chapters of my health journey. I have battled lymphoma twice. I lived with Breast Implant Illness, fought my way back to health, and poured everything I learned into helping others. Out of that experience, SickTitties.org was born — first as a way to raise awareness, then as a community. Later, NobleCareAI.org grew from the same place: advocacy, data, and patient-first care built from lived experience. I truly thought I was on the other side. But life had other plans.
I am now facing new cancer diagnoses, alongside a rare, lifelong genetic mutation (JAK2) that I will manage for the rest of my life. It’s a reality I never expected to revisit — especially after everything it took to survive the first rounds. I’ve spent years showing up for others. Advocating. Building. Speaking. Creating systems meant to protect patients and help them navigate care with dignity. I didn’t build those platforms because it was easy — I built them because I know how lonely and overwhelming this journey can be. What I didn’t expect was to need the same kind of help myself.
Cancer is not just a medical diagnosis — it’s a financial one. Treatment, specialists, diagnostics, travel, uncovered expenses, and the simple cost of staying afloat while your body fights all add up quickly. Even with insurance, the gaps are real and relentless. This fundraiser is to help cover ongoing cancer treatment and monitoring, care related to managing a lifelong JAK2 mutation, medical expenses not fully covered by insurance, and support during treatment, recovery, and reduced capacity to work.
