Help Kristin Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Kristin, then you know how incredibly kind, caring, and loving she is. She is one of the most lovable people that I know and is the absolute last person I ever imagined would be living this nightmare.

For those of you who do not know, Kristin and her husband were expecting their second child, a little girl named Jewel. The pregnancy had quite a few unexpected challenges including a week-long hospital stint for walking pneumonia and, later, having to get tested for Covid-19 because of painful fevers and difficulty breathing.  But none of the challenges she's ever faced could have prepared her for the greatest mountain she'd be asked to climb.  During a routine pregnancy check-up, doctors noticed Kristin's blood platelet count was incredibly low and her tissue damage was off the charts.  Kristin was instructed to come to labor and delivery to run more tests. Then on May 8th, 2020, Doctors discovered Kristin has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a very rare and aggressive cancer.

Due to COVID-19, Kristin has been isolated at the Hospital since May 6, 2020 fighting for her life and the life of her unborn child. Kristin has been receiving blood transfusions, and platelet transfusions while at the hospital with a lot more to come. She received her first round of chemo (7 + 3)  alone and with SO much courage. This chemo is 24 hours a day for 7 days.

Then on May 29th her water broke, and despite how depleted and sick she is, she delivered baby Jewel into this world naturally & safely (praise God) at 32 weeks pregnant.

Now that Jewel is born, the doctors will be able to divide and conquer the care: Jewel in the NICU and Kris with Oncology. Kristin has a long and very tough road ahead of her. She will eventually be transported to Standford Hospital to receive a Bone Marrow Transplant and continue her care there.

Kristin’s Husband, Justin, is unable to work his normal schedule as he has to care for their 6 year old Son and now their new Baby Girl. Not to mention, once Kristin is transferred to Standford which is a couple hours away from our home, Justin will have to be readily available for Kristin as much as possible.

The physical and emotional toll this is taking on Kristin is already a lot to bear. With Kristin not being able to work and Justin having to reduce his work schedule, money is very tight and the last thing we want is for her or Justin to feel any stress or burden over finances.

If you feel led in your heart to help Kristin and her family through this time please know that all contributions are greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate any financial burdens (medical expenses, travel, food) Kristin & Justin incur during this devastating time.

There is no donation too small. If you are unable to donate, please continue to share her story!

We sincerely want to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers, your support, your encouraging words and your donations! God bless you!

Sweet BABY JEWEL born 5/29/2020 (Mommys litte Fighter)

Kristin is one of the BEST Mommy's. Due to COVID, she has to be isolated from her family and friends. Being away from her Husband and her baby boy is devastating to her.

Family is EVERYTHING to Kris.
