Help move Kristie to a safe place to heal

Many of you know that Kristie is fighting stage 4 breast cancer, and have already donated money toward her treatment. But cancer isn’t the biggest threat Kristie is facing right now - a former partner has become abusive, and Kristie and her three young sons are no longer safe in their home.

We need to move Kristie, her boys, and her mother from Seattle back to Springfield, Illinois, where they can be safe and supported by friends and family. This will allow Kristie to recover without the stress or fear to which she’s been subjected these past few months.

Kristie recently had a radical mastectomy, so in addition to medical costs, moving is a huge financial and logistical burden. She’s reserved a truck but needs to pay movers to help her and her friends pack and unpack given that she’s completely lost use of her right arm. She also needs to pay for gas, meals and two nights at a hotel for her family and two friends who are flying in to help her.

Total costs are estimated to be $3500. (If you would like to donate gas cards or hotel points instead of cash, those would be welcome as well.)
