Help Kristi Recover and Rebuild her Life

My name is Janice Friedman and I'm raising funds for Kristi Evans who was in a terrible motorcycle accident. Kristi is a dear friend of mine and a member of the Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club of which I'm a founding member.

 

Kristi is a safe and avid motorcyclist and one of her favorite things to do is find murals to photograph with her bike. She recently took a solo multi-state motorcycle trip where most of her time was searching for and photographing murals. On Monday, September 13, 2021, she was on one of her missions to find new murals which she had heard had been recently painted in the downtown area of Wichita, KS. That simple, quick trip changed her life forever. A driver who was in too big of a hurry and/or distracted in some way, made a left hand turn directly into Kristi's path causing them to collide. This resulted in a catastrophic injury to her left leg. She endured two surgeries back to back and her leg had to be amputated above the knee. We are grateful that she survived the accident, but her life will never be the same again.

 

Kristi is one of the strongest and most courageous human beings you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. She also has a wicked sense of humor. These admirable personality traits will help her cope with her new life, but there are many expenses she is facing. Uncovered medical and prosthetic leg expenses; modifications to their home, which has stairs, to accommodate a walker until she is fitted with and adept at using a prosthetic leg; loss of income and help with household chores are just a few examples.

 

Kristi has a tremendous support system in place with family, friends and her Krome Kitty Sisters; however, with the help of your donations, she and her husband, Blake, can focus on Kristi's recovery and rehabilitation and not worry about the financial toll this is taking on them.
