Help Kristi Kick Cancer

Our sweet friend Kristi has recently been diagnosed with aggressive, stage 3 ovarian cancer. Many have reached out to ask how they can help, and this is the way. Kristi has a long battle ahead of her and will presumably hit her out-of-pocket max this year and need time off work during treatment. We can help ease this financial burden while her family and close friends take care of her immediate needs.

The long story short: a fairly routine doctor appointment just before Christmas went to the next level when the doctor decided there was reason to be thorough, ordering an ultrasound. That, and further CT imaging, revealed a very large mass on the right ovary. Surgery was completed January 25th to remove the tumor, and tissue biopsies were taken. On February 3rd, Kristi received the pathology report: the mass was cancerous and spots were also found on the bladder, pelvis, and abdominal wall. Chemotherapy will begin in the next few weeks.

Kristi is in the care of a fabulous doctor who matches her energy and positivity. However, she didn’t mince words when she explained, “your life has changed forever.” Kristi is clinging to her faith and is being well cared for. With this news now public, the floodgates of well-wishes have opened and she has been touched by the outpouring of love and prayers. She is not able to respond to all of the messages she is receiving, but please know that she hears them, appreciates them, and feels your love.
