Kristen's sister has faced more than her share of challenges in life. Due to a number of physical disabilities, she has fallen many many times (see photo #2 -- not her worst) and has undergone numerous surgeries, including several joint replacements. Her severe scoliosis led to almost her entire spine being fused, and she was deemed totally and permanently disabled at age 42. Despite these hardships, she has shown incredible resilience—living sober for over 49 years, quitting smoking, and beating breast cancer twice, including undergoing a double mastectomy. She is truly a fighter.
Recently, her health required her to move away from the icy winters of Minnesota to a warmer climate. She relocated to Gulf Shores, Alabama, hoping for a better quality of life. Unfortunately, the cost of living there was much higher than she anticipated, and she has depleted her savings just trying to stay afloat. Now, she needs to move again—this time to Madison, Alabama, where living costs are more manageable. The funds raised will help cover the costs of packing her belongings, renting a moving truck, airfare for her niece and nephew to help with the move, their rental car, and hotel rooms. Any leftover funds will be used to pay her final expenses, as she does not have life insurance.
Kristen's sister has always been a giver, supporting others whenever she could. Now, she needs us to give back and help her start her next chapter. Your support will mean the world to her and her family. Thank you so much for considering a donation and helping in this way!
