My name is Kristen, and in 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer. Just a month ago, I learned that the cancer has spread to my brain. I am currently undergoing radiation treatment, after two years of chemotherapy. The journey has been incredibly tough, and the side effects from treatment—especially the steroids—have made daily life even more challenging.
One of the hardest parts right now is simply keeping myself fed. The medications make me so hungry, and it’s a struggle to keep up with the cost of food while also managing everything else that comes with cancer treatment. Food is truly fuel for survival, and I need to stay strong, not just for myself, but for my 18-year-old daughter who means the world to me.
I’m not looking for sympathy—just a little help to keep food on the table so I can focus on healing and being there for my daughter. Any support you can give is deeply appreciated. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation to help me through this difficult time.
