Hello everyone, my name is John. In 2019, Kristen's life was turned upside down by a horrific car accident. While recovering in the hospital, doctors made a shocking discovery: a spot on her lung that turned out to be stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. At just 35 years old, Kristen suddenly found herself fighting for her life while still healing from multiple broken bones (her T6 & T7 vertebrae were broken, left foot, right forearm, which now has multiple plates/pins/hardware in place of the bones, her clavicle & sternum).

Since then, she has undergone a difficult journey marked by surgeries, oral and IV immunotherapy, radiation, and chronic pain. While some treatments showed promise, the cancer has since spread to her other lung. The toll on her body has been immense, and her kidneys have been affected. She also recently had spinal surgery due to the accident.

Today, Kristen is unable to work. She’s struggling to keep up with basic living expenses: rent, food, medical costs, and transportation. Her car is currently undrivable, and she can’t afford the $2,000 needed to fix it. She is trying her best to survive, but the emotional and financial burden has become overwhelming with keeping up with everyday expenses as rent, lights, gas, transportation to and from Dr appointments (that are often) , medical bills, and groceries.

Kristen is not giving up but she needs help. This fundraiser is her lifeline. Every donation goes toward helping her stay afloat, cover essential costs, and focus on healing and spending time with her loved ones.
