Support for Kristen and her family
Donation protected
After struggling with worsening headaches over the past few months, Kristen learned in early July that she had a large brain tumor causing her symptoms. She underwent surgery at Duke on July 10th, and while they were able to remove 95% of the tumor, unfortunately, Kristen suffered a stroke during surgery. This left her with limited movement, feeling, and vision on the left side of her body.
Being the fighter we all know she is, Kristen has made incredible progress over the last month during her intensive inpatient rehab stay at WakeMed. However, she, Brad, and Michael still have a long journey ahead of them as they adjust to this new normal and tackle the next phase of treatment which includes daily radiation and chemotherapy.
There will undoubtedly be mounting expenses from her medical care and modifications to their home to make it more accessible, all while Kristen is currently unable to work. As Kristen’s village of family and friends from all across the country, we ask that you join us in contributing any amount you can to help relieve their financial strain so they can focus on healing.
