Help Krista's Family in Their Time of Need

”On Monday, May 20, 2024, Krista, her fiancé, and several of their friends were on the way back home from a motorcycle trip for her birthday when she began experiencing extreme abdominal pain and dry heaving. She was taken to the ER, but they were unable to manage her pain and retching. Her blood pressure got out of control from the strain; her body reached its limit after 12 hours of excruciating pain and retching and she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage (hemorrhagic stroke). Her nurses and doctors in the ER recognized the signs of stroke immediately and she was rushed to UT Medical Center in Knoxville via helicopter. Thankfully, the bleeding stopped on its own without surgical intervention, but it was very deep in her brain and she has a large hematoma covering the right side of her brain.

The stroke was sudden, shocking and severe. Krista is only 56, was in good health and living it up on the back of her fiancé's motorcycle mere hours before it happened. She is lucky to be alive and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Since Krista is being treated 4 hours from home, her children had to travel from (literally) around the world to be with her, incurring steep travel expenses. Please consider donating to the family during this awful time to allow them to reunite and so that Krista can recover with her loved ones around her. Our community member Dan Shaw is needing some help from his neighbors. His ex wife and mother of his children, Krista, abruptly suffered a stroke. Family is coming to Knoxville TN to be with Krista from all over the world, and those expenses add up quick.
