Help Kristal Hopp get HSCT Stem Cell to walk again

Donation protected

As everyone knows, my mother has been battling MS for over 20 years and unfortunately her condition has gotten worse over the past 6 weeks. Sadly we have learned that she has 7 new lesions in less than two months from her previous MRI’s. Kristal has went from being able to work with me, to being stuck in a wheelchair and unable to walk normally or even care for herself normally. Stem Cell therapy is something that has a 83% success rate, which is more effective than disease modification drugs, which would take over a year to slow symptoms. In 2017, Kristal went from not being able to walk up stairs to walking 4.3 miles a day after her first HSCT treatment. All of her previous lesions were shrunk more than 29%, something that is unheard of with Western Medicine practices. Due to unjust regulations and guidelines, HSCT is more prevalent in Mexico and other countries. Surprisingly, Dr. Ruiz of Clinica Ruiz has a higher success rate and lower mortality risks than programs in America. The current medications suggested by American doctors will not repair damaged nerves and myelin sheath as opposed to having stem cell treatment. Considering the risks, as a family we have all decided that it is worth the time and potential rewards to allow Kristal to be independent again. Nobody deserves to have their ability to take care of themselves ripped away in less than 2 months after having such an incredible turn around in 2017. Due to COVID-19 my mother was unable to get on the correct disease modification drugs to halt her exacerbation resulting in her current condition. As we have already seen the wonders HSCT treatment can do, this is the best option to stop any more significant damage from occurring. All donations are incredibly appreciated and will go towards her stem cell therapy, airfare, lodging, food, and medications. Below are some words from my mother explaining her situation and what battles she has been fighting daily. Thanks for your time, prayers, and love during these trying times.

“The past two months have been one of the hardest challenges for myself and family. In less than 2 months, I have been in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation for an MS Exacerbation that put me in a wheelchair, resulting in trying to learn how to walk again. I have been working with a great team of neurologists down in Denver at Anschuz Hospital and under-went plasma treatment to try to halt my MS down as much as possible. Unfortunately, the new mri shows that I now have 7 new lesions, in which one has doubled in size in 6 weeks. I have the opportunity to have HSCT again which has a 83% success rate of putting my MS back into remission along with stopping any further damage and hopefully regaining my independence back.” Kristal Hopp
