- Hello, my name is Kristal. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters and the GiGi of two precious grandbabies. A year ago, I was diagnosed with liver failure due to a genetic blood disorder and have been very sick with many doctor's appointments and hospital stays. I am finally at the point that I can be evaluated for a liver transplant at Duke Hospital. However, I have to stay in Raleigh for the 3 days of my evaluation and will have to pay for a hotel room and travel expenses while I am gone. I am currently unable to work, and while I have applied for disability, it will be several months before I will know anything. I'm not someone that normally asks for anything, but this trip could possibly determine whether I live to see my grandchildren grow into young adults. If anyone could see it in their hearts to help, it would mean more than I could ever express. And even if you aren't able to help monetarily, a prayer or even a share on social media would be a blessing. Thank you all so much.
