Help Krista Save Her Home and Heal
Donation protected
Krista never imagined she would be in this position, but we (a few of her friends) are reaching out on her behalf. Always one to help everyone else in need, now she truly needs our help.
The past couple of years have been a storm of financial and personal hardship with no end in sight. Since her 2022 divorce, Krista has faced crushing financial hardship, including $10,000 in back taxes she can't catch up on despite consistent payments. With 2024 taxes looming and no funds available, she risks losing her cherished childhood home—the same one her parents dedicated their lives to secure.
She's doing everything she can. She receives disability and gets minimal child support monthly, which covers basic living expenses but leaves nothing to save or get ahead.
Between veterinary care for her beloved pets Chili, Stella, and senior cat Lionel, plus constant repairs on her 2003 vehicle, Krista's resources are depleted. Her once-perfect credit score of 836 crashed after relying on credit cards post-divorce. Despite consolidating debt, she remains perpetually behind on payments, unable to qualify for refinancing.
Krista loves her daughter fiercely and tries to be the best mom she can for her while she struggles with mental health challenges. She has worked tirelessly to find the right care and treatment, so her daughter will have the bright future she deserves. Krista spent her life teaching children with both behavioral and emotional concerns and various learning disabilities. It was her passion until she had to leave due to autoimmune disease complications.
In January 2025, Krista was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. She is preparing for surgery and radiation, but the weight of financial and emotional stress makes everything feel impossible.
Krista needs to make it one more year before she is able to sell her home and start fresh.
We are humbly asking for any support. No amount is too small to help her keep her home, stay afloat, and focus on healing. If you can't give, sharing this story would mean the world.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading and for any kindness you can offer.
