Hey everyone. A lot of you might know my oldest sister, Krista. If you do, then you know that she is a very hard-working and compassionate obstetric/pediatric nurse. She was recently hospitalized with bacterial pneumonia. What we all thought would be a quick recovery led to weeks in the IMC unit with high flow oxygen requirement and numerous IV antibiotics. For some reason, her immune system was not responding well. She is out of the hospital now and has recovered well from the pneumonia. However, she is now dealing with an onset of degenerative disc disease and herniation in the L5-S1 portion of her spine as well as a lump of unknown etiology that was recently found on her breast.

She has been out of work for over two months now and is still unable to return because of how much pain this is causing. She is also in need of more MRI’s and further diagnostics to get an official diagnosis for the mass that was found. Her short term FMLA is unfortunately non-existent, so she is having no financial support while she recovers other than what her loved ones are able to provide. Needless to say, she is struggling. She is also not one to ask for help, so this is why I decided to make this post. Anything would help during this difficult time and until she is able to return to work. Prayers are just as much appreciated as financial support.
