Help Kris Walker's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
In August my dad, Kris Walker, was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He had surgery at the end of the month to remove the tumor, but the cancer had spread to an abdominal lymph node. The oncologist put it at stage 2B and he started a 9-week course of chemotherapy at the beginning of October.

My dad is a freelance commercial photographer. His oncologist told us that during his 9-weeks of chemo, he won’t be able to work. During September following surgery, he was only able to work about half of the month. Working for himself, he get’s no paid-time-off, no sick days, no vacation days. If he’s not taking photos, he’s not earning an income. Dad is the primary income for our family and not having any income for all of this time is going to be devastating. Not only is he not able to work, but once the chemo is done, he’s going to have to basically re-launch his business and build it back up to what it was before. At a minimum, he’ll have been out for 11-weeks (2 in September for surgery and 9 for chemo through December 2nd).

Cancer is expensive as it is, but without a main source of income while dealing with it is worse.

We’re asking for help to keep up with living expenses, regular bills, and medical costs while my dad can’t work.
