Hi! On behalf of our loved one, we are trying to help raise money for Kris Peterka, while she lay in a hospital bed, at Sanford Hospital on Broadway, in Fargo, ND. Here is her story:
On Thursday, September 16, 2021, Kris Peterka (67th birthday October 15) complained of not being able to breathe. Her brother, John (aka Uncle John) took her to the local emergency room where she was diagnosed with Covid-19. She was then transferred to Sanford Hospital in Fargo due to her recent history of acute kidney failure, which was diagnosed in July, and would complicate her Covid treatment. Since her acute kidney failure was diagnosed, Kris has been on steroids and Cytoxin (a type of chemo drug), which weakened her immune system, therefore making her treatment for Covid very difficult. Friday, September 17, Kris was texting friends and family that she was in the hospital with Covid and feeling better on oxygen. By Friday evening, she complained of not being able to catch her breath, and was placed on bi-pap. Later her text said, "I want to be on a ventilator" and soon after, family was notified that she was on the ventilator and was seriously ill! Sunday there was a slight improvement with her ventilator numbers. Monday, her kidneys were slightly improved, but was in need for "gentle" dialysis. Today, we received word that she continues to be very sick, and along with the dialysis, she would be getting transfusions of platelets, plasma and red blood cells. Aunt Kris is extremely ill and will have many medical expenses accumulating as well as other expenses to maintain her house and her 2 puppies, Punk and Agnes, who are waiting at a doggy day care for her to come home. She already had previous financial responsibilities due to her expensive medical treatment for her kidneys and not being able to work. We are in the process of setting up a benefit account at Kodabank in Minto, as well as some other donation options. We ask for your prayers and a miracle of healing both physically and financially. She has a long road ahead of her! Dear Lord and Savior, please place Your healing hands upon her! Please help us, help Kris!
