Help Sophie Skate to Copenhagen!
Meet Sophie Marshall (AKA KrazyKat 11) , a determined and passionate 14-year-old roller derby skater from Demonburgh Junior Roller Derby. Sophie is autistic and has found not only a love for the sport, but also a growing sense of confidence, purpose, and belonging through her team and the roller derby community.
Now, she has an incredible opportunity to travel with her team to represent at the Copenhagen 7s Roller Derby Tournament. This will be an unforgettable experience: competing internationally, connecting with teams from around the world, and continuing her journey of personal growth through sport.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping us cover the travel expenses to get Sophie to Copenhagen. Flights, accommodation, and other travel costs add up quickly, and we're hoping to raise enough to ease the burden on Sophie’s family.
Our first fundraising event is a big one:
We’re attempting to skate a full marathon (26.2 miles)
Yes, that’s right! A marathon on skates! Sophie has been training hard and is committed to pushing her limits to make this dream come true.
This trip means so much more than just playing a sport. It’s about empowerment, inclusion, and giving Sophie the chance to thrive in an environment where she is celebrated for who she is.
**How you can help:**
* Donate what you can—every pound makes a difference!
* Share this fundraiser with your friends and family
* Cheer Sophie on in her marathon challenge!
Thank you for believing in Sophie and supporting her on this amazing journey.
**Let’s help her roll all the way to Copenhagen! **
