Kraken Charters has been serving our local community and visitors for the past 3.5 years, offering memorable fishing experiences on the water. Recently, our boat suffered a major engine failure—a blown ring—which has taken us completely out of operation. This setback has not only impacted our ability to run charters, but also affected our crew, our family, and the many customers who rely on us for their fishing adventures. This has been a huge hit to us on top of several other family related incidents. These past several weeks have been weighing very heavily on us. We expect to be down for the next 2-3 months, and in the meantime, we've had to reschedule trips or send them to other captains, which is a difficult adjustment for everyone involved.

We're seeking help to cover the cost of repairing our engines so we can get Kraken Charters back in business. This is only a small portion of the bills and expenses that are going to be incurred from this misfortune. Our main goal is to restore our boat and continue serving both locals and vacationers. Beyond our regular charters, we also volunteer our time to support several charities throughout the season, and being out of commission has limited our ability to give back. As a newer business, we haven’t had the chance to build up reserve funds, and this year we were actually on track to breaking even. Any support will help us get back on the water and continue making a positive impact in our community.
