Help Koyu and Ceti Avoid Eviction
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Koyu and I want to thank anyone who even looks at this.
The reason for the goal is to avoid being evicted from the only place in town we could even remotely afford, which I've been warned will happen if we aren't caught up on last month's rent by Monday August 5th.
Now for how it got to this point. Everything really started at the beginning of this year when our cat Raven got very sick. There were weeks of appointments to try and help her, but in the end we had to let her go. We did our best to work through the loss and had been barely scraping by.
The next thing that happened is we lost the ability to use my partner, Ceti's car due to the driver's side door currently being unable to open from the inside. We both work delivery jobs, and that just wasn't a thing we could work around with both the door handle and window crank broken. They are still broken and we are currently both using my car. This has been very limiting in how much either of us can work, and my job Gopuff has once again started to pay us even less per trip.
Following that, Ceti suffered an allergic reaction to a medication they were given. This was a trip to the hospital, which by the one stroke of good fortune is covered by our insurance, and resulted in me being the only one able to work while they recovered. Both of us deal with physical disabilities, and I did as much work as I could manage before my back rendered me incapable of really walking until I'd had a rest day.
The sort of last straw is what's pictured in the image above. We live in a travel trailer, and the awning has been one of the only reasons we can make it through the summer without constant heat exhaustion and sickness from that... and it tore off one day in the wind.
While that has been fixed, it leads to where we are now, one month behind on rent and being threatened with eviction should we not pay by this coming Monday. Originally the park stated we could pay in the middle of this month, but the managers came in today and here we are.
The goal is the total for last month and this month, and as of writing this we are approximately $200 shy of last month being paid. Everything I get from this, no matter how much or little, will be put toward keeping us sheltered. Every little bit helps and is appreciated.
Thank you for even reading this and passing this along.
