Kovu is our one-year-old Labrador Retriever who brings so much joy to everyone he meets. He’s a playful, loving dog who has always been there for our family, especially during tough times. A few days ago, while we were dealing with a family emergency, Kovu got hold of a hand towel and swallowed a corner of it. At first, we hoped he would be able to pass it on his own, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. Kovu became very ill, and after going back and forth with the vet, we were told to take him to an urgent care hospital immediately. We learned he needed emergency surgery to prevent his bowels from rupturing. He ended up losing most of his intestines. Unfortunately, Kovu passed away shortly after surgery. We are left heartbroken.
The cost of Kovu’s surgery and hospitalization is far beyond what our family can afford, especially as we are already facing the emotional and financial strain of having a loved one on life support. We want nothing more than to give him the chance to recover and return to his happy, loving self. The funds raised will go directly toward Kovu’s surgery, his hospital stay, and his cremation.
Any support you can give will make a huge difference for Kovu and our family. Thank you for reading our story and for considering helping us through this incredibly difficult time. We did everything we could to try to save Kovu; he was the life of our family and will be deeply missed. We are left with intensive debt and, worst of all, an empty home without our sweet boy.
