Kovah’s journey began with both heartbreak and hope. Her mother, Rajha, went into a difficult labor and was rushed to the veterinarian, where she underwent an emergency C-section. Tragically, none of Kovah’s siblings survived, and Kovah herself was born with a deformity. The veterinarian was unsure if she would ever walk. Rajha and Kovah were brought home shortly after surgery. The very next morning, our world shattered—Rajha passed away suddenly from sepsis caused by puppies that had died in the womb. In an instant, we lost a beloved dog and were left fighting for the life of her only surviving puppy. Kovah almost didn’t make it. She was overwhelmed with toxins and became critically ill, but against all odds, she survived the night. Kovah is now 6 weeks old, and once again, she is fighting for her life. At 5 weeks old, Kovah suddenly lost the use of her back legs. She was hospitalized for several days and fought her way through yet another critical battle.

Now, Sharey and Kovah are facing mounting medical bills as they seek advanced imaging, specialist consultations, medications, and ongoing care. The road ahead may include surgery or long-term rehabilitation, but Kovah’s spirit refuses to quit. Every day, she shows us what it means to fight for life and love, and we are determined to give her every chance possible.
