Hi everyone! As most of you know, Korey was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on January 19, 2022. We were all shocked to be hit with something that is considered “incurable”. Korey has always felt strongly about treating this autoimmune disorder naturally or holistically. After meeting with the neurologist, we were all more determined than ever that a holistic approach was what we wanted.
After doing a lot of research we found Dr. Terry Wahls and The Wahls Protocol. Dr. Wahls is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. The Wahls Protocol is “a clear prescriptive guide about how to beat autoimmune and other chronic conditions using functional medicine and nutrient-rich foods.”
Korey has an opportunity to consult with and be treated by Dr. Terry Wahls on April 8, 2022. This treatment plan is not covered by insurance and is $8,000. This treatment plan includes a trip to Iowa to meet with Dr. Wahls, create a treatment plan, coaching, virtual visits, etc.
