Help Kora Stay Strong Through Her Treatment

I am Aunt Rielly (Riley). Her dad, Mark, is one of my closest friends and co-workers. Kora is a high-spirited little girl and she is ready to kick cancer's ass! Unfortunately, with the cost of living and treatment/medical costs adding up, this family could really use the help! Anything is appreciated! Thank you so much in advance! Below, I have the most recent update from her dad!

Oof! It's been a couple of long weeks for our little warrior. After Kora’s 4-day-long in-patient chemo, we were only able to enjoy a few days at home before having to head to the ER in Saginaw at Covenant last Thursday evening. We were transferred down to the U in Ann Arbor, finally arriving at 1am Friday morning. After 3 hours in the ER down here, we were admitted to in-patient. Kora’s energy is high along with her spirits but her “counts” are dangerously low. She’s had a blood transfusion, 4 platelet transfusions, and a 5-day course of IV antibiotics. Sending some prayers upstairs that we can finally be discharged by Friday morning.

It’s hard to pass the time cooped up in a hospital room but we do so by making slime, playing with kinetic sand, having dance parties, taking naps, coloring, and watching animal videos!

Once again, thanks to the ER crew at Covenant in Saginaw! This has been our 3rd hospitalization. They always remember Kora and are, unfortunately, becoming familiar angels and saviors! Having two different hospitals over 100 miles away from each other working together, all in the name of our little lady! It really outlines what #Korastrong means to us!
