Hello. My name is Konstantinos and I am a small business owner of a jewelry company called KIL N.Y.C. based in New York City. On October 8th, 2025 at nearly 3:45am in the morning, one of my offices was burglarized and a large amount of jewelry and gemstones was taken. After the NYPD reviewed footage, it was discovered that 8 men likely from a crime syndicate were able to get their way into our secured building and make off with a ton of our inventory including antique, vintage, and designer jewelry, our entire gemstone inventory, and most of our jewelry line that we produce by hand here in New York City.
We are left feeling devastated, violated, and with a huge loss of trust. Thankfully our neighbors had high definition cameras and they caught the license plates of the vehicles as well as them breaking in and making off with our goods. We don't have a lot of hope of our jewels being found but we hope that the group will be brought to justice. Thankfully we have insurance but it will not cover everything and it will be an arduous process to collect on it and will likely take over 9 months.
For right now, we are meeting this Friday to literally pick up the pieces. Literally. There is glass, opened drawers, and broken jewelry currently spread all over our floors. We have to replace our safe, start producing our inventory once again, and get caught up as many of our projects were going to be released for Valentines Day and Spring/Summer 2026. Not to mention restock our vintage inventory, buff up our security, and start slowly replacing the gemstones that are now in the hands of organized crooks.
I was very opposed to asking for any help. A few members of my staff convinced me to create this. The truth is, we will be fine regardless. We are not going to let this catastrophic event break us down or make us stop. I won't lie; after seeing all the wreckage, I contemplated packing up shop but I have been convinced otherwise. This has been one of the best years for our growth and I have a duty to provide stable employment for my wonderful staff who are helping to keep the gears turning. Any and all donations will help ease the burden on us to help us get to some sort of normalcy at a faster place. We recognize that this is a really hectic time and the economy is weird. If you are able to share on your social media accounts, it will be appreciated more than words can say. Thank you for reading.
***A shout out to the local police department for going above and beyond for us and helping to find and catch these perpetrators.
