My name is Konner, and I am asking for some help following some tough months and even tougher few weeks.

Since April, my former roommate stopped paying his share of the rent and has refused to contribute anything toward our shared lease in Hell’s Kitchen. Unfortunately, our management company holds both of us legally responsible, which has left me drowning in unexpected financial hardship and soon to be eviction proceedings.

Things have also escalated further as my roommate’s involvement in an illegal scam has now caused additional legal issues that I’ve been dragged into — despite having no part in it.

I’m asking for help to raise $5,000 to:

• Cover past-due rent caused by my roommate’s non-payment

• Pay legal fees to defend myself
