My sweet dog Kona is only six years old, and she’s suddenly facing something heartbreaking. She was recently diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), and everything changed for her on Thanksgiving. One moment she was her normal happy self, and the next she began screeching and crying in pain just from being gently picked up. Since then, she barely wants to walk, and every movement seems to hurt her.

Right now, Kona is on three different medications, but they’re only temporary relief. They don’t fix the problem. The only real solution – the only way for her to live without constant pain – is surgery. Without it, she’ll continue to suffer, and I can’t let her life be reduced to this kind of pain. Kona is my whole world. She’s been there through every high and low, and seeing her like this has been devastating.

I’m asking for help because I want to save her life and give her the chance to run, play, and be her joyful self again. She deserves that. Anything helps. Thank you for reading and for caring about my girl.
