Kona is my four-year-old rescue Plott Hound Brindle, and she’s been a source of joy and comfort since I saved her from an animal hoarding situation. From the moment she came into my life, Kona has shown incredible resilience and love, quickly becoming a cherished member of my family. Her playful spirit and gentle nature have brought so much happiness to our home, and watching her thrive after such a difficult start has been truly rewarding.
Recently, while we were playing ball—one of Kona’s favorite activities—she suddenly stopped short and laid down, unable to put weight on her rear leg. I was terrified and rushed her to the vet, where she was diagnosed with a torn CCL. The vet prescribed pain medication and referred us to an orthopedic surgeon, but the cost of surgery is overwhelming. I cry every day seeing Kona unable to run and play like she used to. It’s heartbreaking to watch her struggle, knowing that surgery is her best chance to return to her happy, active self.
I’m reaching out for help to cover the cost of Kona’s surgery and post-operative care. Every contribution will go directly toward her medical bills, pain management, and rehabilitation. Your support will give Kona the chance to heal and enjoy life again, and it would mean the world to both of us. Thank you for considering helping Kona get back on her feet.
