I never thought I’d be making a post like this, but we are asking for help for our girl, Kona.

Recently, Kona was diagnosed with tears in BOTH of her CCLs (similar to ACL tears in humans). Over the past while, we’ve watched her mobility decline as she slowly went from her usual happy, active self to struggling to get up, limping, and no longer able to do the things she loves most. Watching her live in pain has been truly heartbreaking.

Kona is so much more than “just a dog” to us. She is our shadow around the house, our constant companion, and the one who somehow always knows how to lift our mood with her big smile and gentle presence. Even on her hardest days, she still tries to stay close to us.

Our vet has recommended two surgeries - one for each leg and they are estimated at $4,500 per leg. This is the best chance she has at getting back to a comfortable, pain-free life.

We are doing everything we can to make this happen for her, but the costs are overwhelming and more than we can manage on our own. Along with surgery, we will also be contributing to her recovery care, including therapies such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy to help her regain strength and mobility.
