Anyone who knows us knows our babies, two crazy huskies Baloo and Kona, and a silly chocolate lab, Cooper. Our dogs aren't just pets, they're the center of our family, we'd do anything for these 3. Earlier this week we took Kona for a follow up vet visit for a limp that wouldn't heal, a limp that was previously diagnosed as a sprain/pulled muscle. When we saw she wasn't getting better after rest and medication we pushed for X-rays.. With those X-rays came the worst possible news we could have ever expected, her scans are showing signs of Bone Cancer. Currently we are preparing for her to undergo surgery to remove the cancer, which is more than likely going to result in amputation of her affected leg. We're all distraught, Kona is our happy, strong, absolutely insane husky girl.. she loves this family so much and to see her in pain and the thought of her upcoming battle with this is hurting us all badly. We're determined to take whatever steps necessary to keep our little girl happy and healthy and while we're preparing in every way possible for the unexpected hospital and surgery expenses, we'd also be beyond grateful for any help we can get.
