My name is Kole Krier, and snowboarding is my passion and my life. As a deaf snowboarder from Minnesota, I’ve always loved the thrill of snowboarding and the sense of community that comes with riding. Last year, I took a leap of faith and joined the USDSSA Winterfest at Breckenridge, not knowing anyone and still learning sign language. That experience changed everything for me. I found friends, learned so much, and truly felt a connection in the deaf snowboarding community.
Now, I have the incredible opportunity to compete in the 2027 Deaflympics in Innsbruck, Austria. I’ll be representing the U.S. in slopestyle and boardercross if the schedule allows. I’ve been working hard on my ASL skills and training every day to be ready for this moment. Competing on an international stage is a dream come true, and I want to make my family and community proud.
The funds I raise will go directly toward travel, accommodations, and competition costs, so I can focus on giving my best performance. I want to thank USA Deaf Ski and Snowboard for this opportunity, and my parents for always inspiring me especially my dad, who passed away in April 2025. He told me to never take these opportunities for granted, so I’m dedicating this journey to him. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my dream. Every contribution brings me one step closer to Innsbruck!
