Hi, if we haven’t met my name is Davis. I run Window Wolf. A Community First business in Kansas City. This is not our typical video. Your average day we go around town and surprise mom and pop shops to clean their windows for free in exchange for telling their story. We have had an impact in our local community far greater than we could have ever imagined. Let me blow your mind here for a second. We started this journey and mission February 28th, 2025. Right here at Kolaches and Coffee. With the first ever video of our series “Window Wolf Shines.” It got a few thousand views. It was a practice run, I still didn’t know what I was doing. The businesses we visit that followed took off instantly, fast forward today and we have told the stories of over 24 different owners, with over 10 million people hearing their stories. Raised over 40 thousand dollars for some of these owners along the way.

None of that would have been possible without you Gerardo and Gema, owners of Kolaches and Coffee. You see 3 years ago I walked into their store. And I saw a restaurant that made the best food I’d ever had, and there was nobody there. Not a single customer. I checked their social media after — barely any posts, hardly anyone even knew they existed. That moment planted something in me. Months went by and I didn’t do anything about it, too scared to try. Finally that October, I walked back in and asked Gerardo straight up if I could run his social media. I had zero experience. I’d never made a video for a business in my life. He said yes on the spot.

I ran their page for the next year. We went from 63 followers to over 3,000. Full tables on weekends that used to be empty. I learned everything I know about telling a business’s story from him because he gave a stranger a shot nobody else would have.

A year later my friend of over 15 years, Dan, and I built Window Wolf on that same idea: find the businesses nobody knows about, and give them a reason to be seen. Every single story we’ve told since all 24 owners, all 10 million views, all $40K raised traces back to a guy who said yes to me with no résumé and no reason to trust me.

Now his shopping center lost its anchor grocery store, and half the businesses around him are struggling or gone. Sales are down 40%. He’s barely holding on.
