Help Koko & Simon with Pandora’s Final Vet Expenses

Hi everyone,
We're reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support.
On May 28th, our beloved cat Pandora passed away after a sudden and heartbreaking turn in her health. She was 17 years old and had been with our family since she was just a tiny kitten. Pandora wasn't just a pet—she was a deeply loved member of our family. She was full of spunk and attitude, with a big personality. Whether she was bossing around the other pets by stealing their food, demanding attention on her terms, or sleeping in her favourite spot, Pandora made sure her presence was known—and adored. We will miss her bottomless appetite for any food she could sneak, her big, fluffy, always slightly-messy coat, and her furry ears.
Recently, we noticed her health beginning to decline. We had been treating her for hyperthyroidism, and on May 27th, we took her in for a follow-up and bloodwork. During the visit, Pandora went into respiratory distress. After a series of emergency tests, the devastating news came: she had cancer in both her pancreas and lungs.
With immense love and heartbreak, we made the decision to humanely euthanize her the following day to end her suffering.
As anyone with pets knows, emergency veterinary care is expensive. The tests, treatments, and procedures quickly added up, and Koko and Simon are now facing a large medical bill on top of their grief. While nothing can replace Pandora, we're hoping to raise funds to help them cover these unexpected expenses and ease some of the burden they’re carrying.
Every little bit helps:
If you’re able to give—even a small amount—it would mean the world to us. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page is just as appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read Pandora’s story and for supporting Koko and Simon during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion truly mean more than words can say.
With love and gratitude,
The MacLennan Family
