Hi, my name is Kheren and I am creating this account for my 10 yr old Yorkie Koko. I have had him since he was a puppy. He is my very first furbaby. Koko has a brother named Dexter whom I adopted for companionship. They both love each other and I love them.
In January of 2024 I left Koko and Dexter with a family member while I went on vacation and when I came back I was told something was wrong with his leg. Upon taking him to the vet it was discovered that his right hip was dislocated and he had torn muscle tissue to his right knee. The cost of the surgery was $5,500 dollars not including follow up visits, medication and therapy. While Koko was healing, about 8 months after, Dexter caught a bacterial infection from just regular walks outside. Around his eyes he lost his hair, it was irritated , a smelly odor and oozing. The vet referred to me to a dermatologist specialist at “blue pearl” where they are helping to heal Dexter with several shots. These visits have cost me a total of $2,000 so far and each shot he gets by weekly is $100.
Friday Oct 31,2025 I came home to my mom telling me my dogs were playing as they always do but something is wrong with Koko’s leg. When I took him to the vet , they did x-rays and showed me that now his left hip is dislocated. The coat of the surgery will be $4000. I love my dogs soo much. They are my life. They are my children, my only 2 boys I have. The only 2 children in my household . I have been crying so much because I genuinely can not afford the surgery and I do not have pet insurance. Nor do I want to give my dogs up or put them down. Because they are in perfectly good health despite the last 2 years being ruff for us. Please find it in your heart to donate what ever you can. A little bit goes a long way & we are extremely grateful for whatever we can get to help. Thank you for taking the time out to support and read my story.
