Help Koko get the medical attention she needs

On March 4th, Koko unexpectedly took sick after her daily walk. It is possible that she may have inhaled or eaten something toxic that took a toll on her small and vulnerable body. Since then, the vibrant and energetic dog we once had become lethargic, barely eating, and lost weight as a result. She constantly drooled, threw up, and sleeps constantly which is very rare. Recently, the veterinarian diagnosed a liver shunt which the reason for her labored behavior.

The severity of this liver problem has shortened her life span from 8-10 years to 2 years left with us. With your help, Koko may be able to live up to 10 years. Koko is a vital member of the family and friends who love and care for her. Personally, she serves as emotional support that helps me through many obstacles. Her presence and unique personality make her all the more special. I humbly ask for any donation to help us financially with the medical attention she needs so she can go back to the normal, happy, and energetic dog she once was. This will mean the world to me and my family members. 

The specialist we are in contact with stated they have available dates on April 19th and June 7th. However, I think April 19th is too close to raise the funds needed but June 7th is too far away and can contribute to her deterioration. In this case, the sooner the better.
