Hello everyone,

This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to put into words.

Our 2-year-old Rottweiler, Koda, is so much more than a pet—she’s our girl, our comfort, and the true heart of our home. She’s the one who greets us like we’re the best part of her day, who quietly stays close when things feel heavy, and who fills our lives with a kind of love that’s impossible to explain but impossible to live without.

Recently, our world shifted when we learned she has torn her right knee ACL. Koda now needs major surgery just to walk comfortably again and get back to the life she loves. The cost of the surgery is $7,000, and we have received a referral to an orthopedic surgeon in London for June 12th 2026. Watching her struggle—hesitating before each step, trying to be brave while clearly in pain—has been incredibly difficult. You can see it in her eyes that she still wants to run, play, and be her joyful self… she just can’t right now.

At the same time, we’re preparing to welcome the final addition to our family. It should be a time full of excitement and happiness, and in many ways it is—but it’s also been overwhelming. We’ve always imagined Koda right there with us through it all, gently growing into her role and part of every memory we’re about to make.

The reality is that the cost of her surgery is more than we can manage on our own, especially with a baby on the way. We’re doing everything we can, but we’ve reached a point where we need support from our community.
