Help Koda Escape to A Better Life

Hello, my name is Xavier, but I prefer to go by Koda.

My situation is something I’ve kept away from many people because it’s very hard to talk about it. Making this GoFundMe is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but I need to give it a shot since my options are thin and running out.

Throughout my childhood, I’ve lived with an emotionally, verbally, and sometimes physically abusive father. I was in a relationship and finally moved out and was away for a year, but things didn’t work out, so I had a decision: either move to Arizona to live with a friend or move back to Texas. My parents wanted me to move back in with them, and I thought things would be different, so I bit the bullet and moved back to Texas… but it was just a big mistake. Not only does my father still emotionally and verbally abuse me, he’s also done it to my other family members.

Looking for a job to raise the money on my own has been challenging, and even if I were to make money by working, my father would take all the money I make; otherwise, he will verbally assault me, which will then possibly lead to physical threats and kicking me out into the street. Being in this situation hasn’t been good for my mental health either. I have thoughts that are so strong that I actually start to believe it’s the absolute best option for me. I want to seek therapy for my mental health, but I can’t even do that because the money I make goes towards him. I do my best to sell art commissions and clothing I’ve designed, but that in itself is very hard to do. I don’t even see the money from that sometimes because it has to go towards groceries when my father uses up all the money for weed and other useless things, so we wind up with no food in the house sometimes because of it.

I need to leave, and once I do, I won’t ever come back. I need a way to escape this hell. Any donations will be very much sincerely appreciated. I thank you all very much, and God bless you for the help.
